Mindfulness, Naturally

Join me for a four-week mindfulness meditation course starting on Friday, August 14. This course is inspired by the rugged natural beauty of Kennisis Lake, where we’ll practise bringing greater presence, peace and compassion into our everyday life at the lake and beyond.

We will welcome you to our outdoor classroom on the dock with tea and light refreshments. Each session, we will begin with a grounding practice inspired by our natural surroundings, followed by a short dharma talk, then I’ll guide you through a mindfulness meditation. At the end, there will be time for questions and answers.

4-Week Mindfulness Meditation Course

(In-person & Online)

This in-person outdoor mindfulness meditation course offers a welcoming introduction to mindfulness in the beautiful setting of nature by the lake. Designed for the local community, the course creates space to slow down, connect with the present moment, and meet like-minded people in a supportive environment. Each session explores what mindfulness meditation is, why it matters, and how it can be woven into everyday life to reduce stress, increase self-awareness, and cultivate a greater sense of calm and presence. Through guided meditation, nature-based awareness practices, group practice, and time for questions and reflection, participants will gain practical tools they can use beyond the class. The natural outdoor setting invites a deeper connection with the senses, the body, and the world around us, making mindfulness feel accessible, grounded, and real. After class, participants are invited to stay for tea and casual social time, offering an opportunity to build community and continue the conversation.
